This is a very special and unique lamp. It's not a lamp to light a room with, but rather a decorative light with a purpose. The light is very soft and warm. Very calming, to the point of qualifying as romantic in the right setting. This is a perfect dinner table lamp for a couple having a special dinner. I can see how they got so popular for restaurants, especially in an evening outdoor setting. My wife just loves this lamp. She likes to use it by her chair to wind down by in the evening. The nice thing about it is that since it's cordless, you can use it anywhere you want. It is lightweight but not so much that it makes it unstable and easy to knock over. The weight is all on the bottom so even if you accidentally bump it, it doesn't topple easy.The battery is good for about 20+ or so hours on low. We seldom ever use it on high so I don't know how long that lasts but it's not terribly bright so I would think at least 12+ hours. It takes about 4 hours to charge. When the dim green charging ring light around the button goes out, it's charged. It comes with a USB charging cable with a barrel type connector. You provide the USB charging source.You could use it as a desk light on high to read by or study in a peaceful environment. I would think it would be the kind of light that would help one focus and meditate. It's just that kind of a light. Very calming. It's anti flicker so it's easy on the eyes. Even the shape of the light invokes peace.As much as I like this light I can't figure out why it is so expensive, other than, "because they can." Because there is nothing special about the materials it's made of. Or extra special bulbs, battery, or finish. It's made of aluminum like many other lamps this size that cost much less. But this is different, unlike the other lights. It's more about the art form, the temperature of the light, the calming output. There's nothing else quite like it. Actually the closest thing I've seen to it has a much larger base that I don't like as much and it costs even more. So I guess in that light, this is a good value. It's just something very special. So I guess you just have to decide whether or not you want to pay for that. Kind of like determining the value of a piece of art.There are two light levels. High and low.The first picture is it on low.The second is on high.And don't ask me how it gets that white torch look on the top of the pole, but on the last picture you can see that the color is the same from the base to the shade when the lamp is off. So maybe the finish is something special after all.Anyway, it is very well made and not fragile at all. I really like it.
This was a great purchase. The two-stage light intensity was a bonus! The illumination is just perfect for my dining room table enhancing whatever is there. The long-lasting battery has not failed.
I was recently in NYC and saw these at our lobby bar. The server said they were new and were a big hit. I was sold! The metal has just enough shine and the sleek styling make these very contemporary but also work with all my antiques. My Christmas dinner guests enjoyed them, too. Easy to use with nice bright and bright bright settings. Would be great anywhere in a home. And being weatherproof adds another dimension to those nighttime soirees.
Saw these similar lamps on tables at a restaurant we frequent. Came home and ordered on lightscordless. We were not disappointed they have great downward light and the charge lasts for many hours. We use while dining at our island kitchen.
We LOVE these lights. We have ordered two seperate orders from you. The first was clearly an older model. The main difference was in the charging indicator light. The older model had a very small indicator light, but was in many ways easier to use. The newer model seems a bit cheaper in construction (one of the lights has a slight lean, another doesn't ever shut off completely). We are using them, nonetheless, and have found the one that doesn't shut off completely makes a nice nightlight when guests are here. The leaning one is not noticeable when used seperately. The lights were a big hit at a recent event and work wonderfully as dining lights in a dark setting as there is no glare!
This is the perfect lamp to put on the dinner table. Provide sufficient light without blinding and gives the folks around the table some atmosphere. Easy to recharge and the light lasts for many hours.
